Brisk Teaching Review: Features, Pricing & Alternatives
Free AI browser extension for teachers to create resources, give feedback and level texts anywhere.
What is Brisk Teaching?
Brisk Teaching is an AI assistant for K-12 teachers that lives in a Chrome or Edge browser extension. Instead of copying content into a separate app, teachers open a Google Doc, article, PDF or YouTube video and ask Brisk to create a quiz, lesson, presentation or feedback right there. A student side, Brisk Boost, turns content into interactive activities.
Arman Jaffer founded Brisk in 2023. In September 2024 it closed a $5 million seed round led by Owl Ventures, bringing total funding to $6.9 million, and in April 2025 it raised a $15 million Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Brisk says one in three US teachers use it and that more than 10,000 districts trust the platform.
In 2026 Brisk reorganised its plans into a free teacher tier, a Premium tier for schools and districts, and an Intelligence tier. Brisk Intelligence, labelled new on its site, uses a district’s curriculum, pacing and scope and sequence to inform every tool. Working inside existing tools, rather than as another platform, is its main difference.

Brisk Teaching vs alternatives
MagicSchool offers more stand-alone generators and a student platform, while Brisk works inside the tools teachers already have open. Diffit goes deeper on leveled reading resources with richer export options.
Curipod focuses on live, teacher-led lessons and writing practice, and Khanmigo offers teacher tools tied to Khan Academy. For checking AI use in writing, dedicated tools like Turnitin exist, but no detector is reliable enough to act on alone. See all best AI education tools.
Our verdict: is Brisk Teaching worth it?
Brisk is one of the easiest AI tools for teachers to adopt because it works inside Google Docs and the browser, and the free plan is unlimited. It is ideal for teachers who grade lots of writing. Districts that want curriculum-aware AI should compare Premium and Intelligence quotes.
